LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech moved up in two national rankings today with a No. 24 spot in the USA Today Coaches' poll and to No. 27 in this week's National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association poll, both publications announced earlier today.

The Red Raiders have been ranked six consecutive weeks while moving up in the polls for the third time this season. Tech went 3-2 last week while ending the week with two lopsided victories 24th-ranked TCU in Fort Worth to claim the league series.

Tech moved up one spot in the USA Today Coaches' poll while earning its third straight spot in the top-25 poll. Tech's highest ranking in the USA Today Coaches' poll was at No. 23 on Mar. 10.

The Red Raiders are among the nation's top 30 teams for the sixth straight week according to the NCBWA while moving up two spots from last week to No. 27. Tech has been ranked every week of the regular season (Feb. 17-Mar. 24) in the NCBWA poll with its highest ranking at No. 25 on Mar. 10.

Texas Tech is the only team in the nation entering this week with 19 victories, six wins against top-25 ranked opponents and having played back-to-back weeks on the road to opening league play.

This week Tech welcomes Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Mar. 25-26) and No. 12 Texas (Mar. 28-30) for a one week, five-game homestand at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
