Frenship Independent School District is pleased to announce the hiring Trent Hilliard as the new Assistant Athletic Director and Girls Head Basketball Coach. The FISD Board of Trustees accepted the district's recommendation of Hilliard on Wednesday.

Hilliard joins Frenship after nine seasons as girls' head basketball coach at Lubbock Cooper High School. His teams at Cooper won 215 games and qualified for the playoffs all nine seasons. Additionally, his teams won five district championships, made six regional tournament appearances and two regional finals appearances.

Before Lubbock Cooper, Hilliard spent two seasons as girls head basketball coach at Wellington High School. He is completing his twenty-fourth year of teaching and coaching, and his overall coaching record in 11 years as a head coach is 233-137.

Hilliard takes over as head coach of the Frenship girls' basketball program that finished the 2014 season with a 19-9 record and a Class 4A Bi-District playoff appearance.

Hilliard is married to wife Cindy, and the couple has two daughters, Madison and Ashtyn.
