Lubbock High School (LHS) is proud to announce that Nikki Heath has accepted an offer to become the new basketball coach of the LHS Lady Westerners.

"Nikki has a proven track record of success, she is high energy and most importantly she knows how to build relationships with players and how to build a foundation for success on and off the court," Jason Strunk, LHS athletic coordinator said.

Coach Heath returns to Lubbock after being a member of the Texas Tech Lady Raider 1993 National Championship Team and of four conference championship teams at Texas Tech University.

In her first head coaching position with the Sterling City Lady Eagles, Coach Heath led them to five playoff appearances including two regional semi-final appearances. Her teams also set numerous school records.

Coach Heath has also been head coach at Brownwood, Irving Nimitz and was most recently the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Carrollton Creekview High School, where she took the Lady Mustangs to the playoffs.
