Therapeutic Riding Center needs your help to get a free horse

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center is in the running to win a free horse, but, they need your help.

The center works with children and adults who have a variety of disabilities. They're now involved in an online contest to win a free horse, courtesy of the LexLin Gypsy Ranch.

Right now, the center hosts 60 people a week, and they have a list of others hoping to get in. They say a new horse would really help.

"At least 30 riders per week would be added on to the program if we could have another horse of this type," Program Director Tangi Irwin said.

Five centers will receive a free horse, based on the amount of votes they receive online.
