LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Former Red Raider basketball player Jordan Tolbert will head to SMU for his final season of collegiate eligibility, according to a report from Scout.com.

The 6-foot-7 junior forward made the decision to transfer from Texas Tech last week after averaging 10.7 points and almost six rebounds a game last season.

Originally from the Dallas area, there is a chance Tolbert will be able to get a wavier that will make him immediately eligible for the Mustangs, because he's transferring closer to home to be with his mother after the death of his father last year.
