It's going to be on the cool side to start out Tuesday morning. Lows will fall to the upper 30s in Lubbock to the mid 30s in the Muleshoe and Littlefield areas.
A frontal boundary will provide the cool start, followed by a south wind increasing in the afternoon and highs back in the 80s from Lubbock to the west. Areas to the north of Lubbock may stay slightly cooler, from 77-80 degrees.
Skies will be mostly sunny with rain chances well to our east, although a shower might occur along the eastern Caprock region both Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
The fire danger will remain elevated Tuesday and Wednesday with low humidity, gusty winds and very warm temps. Wildfires can start very easily and spread rapidly with these conditions.
