Suspect crashes into other vehicle while fleeing from police

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Police say a passenger was injured and a suspect is in custody and after an overnight chase on Buddy Holly Avenue.

The accident report says Johnathan Fabriel Lucio, 31, was "actively evading" police in a 2011 Ford F350 around 2:15 a.m. Saturday when he hit a 2009 Nissan Armada at 800 18th Street.

A passenger in the Armada was taken to UMC with moderate injuries.

Police say Lucio left his vehicle and fled on foot, failing to render aid.

He was captured by police and arrested. The list of charges has not been released.
