April is Child Abuse Awareness month, and Lubbock's Children's Advocacy Center is inviting the public to join them and help stand up for kids.
The advocacy center hopes to bring attention to the overwhelming number of children who are abused each day in Lubbock by hosting their Stand Up for Kids event.
It will begin at 1 p.m. at the Leroy Elmore Park, located at 6601 Quaker at South Loop 289.
There will be live entertainment, bounce houses for kids, free food and a raffle.
