Body found in Greenville restaurant parking lot

GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) -

Greenville police say a body was discovered inside a vehicle in a restaurant parking lot Saturday morning.

Lt. Justin Lovvorn says officers responded to Old Mexico at 9 a.m. after a restaurant employee reported seeing something inside the Toyota Tacoma.

Lovvorn said the person inside the vehicle had been dead for more than 24 hours. Police are trying to determine exactly how long the vehicle had been in the parking lot, but it had been more than 24 hours.

Lovvorn said the identity of the victim hasn't been confirmed but the vehicle comes back to a person who was reported missing in Bibb County on March 28.

Police in Brent, AL, told WSFA's sister station WBRC-TV in Birmingham that the body is that of Bobby Seales.

Seales, 40, of Brent, has been missing since March 28. He reportedly told his family he was going to get gas and never came back.

Lovvorn said this is being treated as a criminal case until an autopsy can determine otherwise. He added that nothing at the scene indicated a homicide.
