Lakeridge Church hosts Change for the Children benefit concert

Lakeridge United Methodist Church will host a charity concert on Sunday night, benefiting impoverished South Plains middle school students.

The church has been raising money for their Change for Children program since 2007.

Larry Walker is the music and worship minister at Lakeridge who founded the program. He said that with support from the community, even more children can be helped.

"Since 2007, we have grown to eight schools and given over $75,000 to help with food stability in the middle schools."

The concert starts at 6 p.m. Sunday night. Admission is free, however, donations for the program are welcome.
