Redistricting had a positive effect on a familiar face to Lubbock.

You'll recall, Mike Conaway of Midland ran against Congressman Neugebauer in a special election to succeed Larry Combest, but lost. Redistricting created a new district eleven which includes Conaway's hometown of Midland.

On Tuesday, the Republican defeated his opponent with 77% of the vote.
