Three adults questioned, released in suspicious death of infant

The investigation continues into what the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department is calling the 'suspicious' death of a Lubbock County infant.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a call on Thursday about an unresponsive child at a home on County Road 7245, just south of 98th St. and Ave. P.

When deputies arrived, they said they found a five-month-old dead with a knot on his head.

According to court documents KCBD obtained, investigators said the living conditions were, "filthy, with drug paraphernalia littering the house within the reach of children."

There were three other children in the home at the time of the incident who are all currently in CPS custody.

Deputies are calling the death investigation of suspicious nature because of, "inconsistent information" given to them by the family.

Three adults were questioned and released. No charges have been filed as of Saturday evening.
