Monterey's Shazay Norris signs with SPC

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Monterey's Shazay Norris signed to play basketball with South Plains College Wednesday afternoon.

Norris averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds a game helping the Lady Plainsmen earn a share of the district title.

Norris, a First Team all district player, is excited to play for the Lady Texans and that her family and friends can come watch her play and that she can come watch Monterey play.

Shazay's father is former Cruiserweight Boxing Champion Orlin Norris who fought Mike Tyson in 1999.

Shazay signed in Plainsmen Alley in front of her family and friends.
