Taylor Gass, a state cross country qualifier from Borden County High School, has signed on to compete for Wayland Baptist University.
Gass also was a regional track qualifier in the 800 and 1,600 meters.
"I'm very excited to have Taylor be a part of our program," said Brian Whitlock, Wayland cross country head coach and assistant track coach. "She is another signee for us who will contribute to our success that we have had in cross country and middle distance, as well as being very strong academically. She has a lot of potential to do well here since she will be focusing on running for the first time in her career."
Wayland's women's cross country team finished the equivalent of 32nd in the final NAIA Top 25 poll last season, while the WBU women's track and field team was seventh at the NAIA Indoor National Championships last month.
