Several sources have told KCBD NewsChannel 11 that Coronado's Kent Jackson is leaving to be the new Head Football Coach at Seminole.

The official announcement is expected after the Seminole School Board approves the hire Monday evening.

Jackson is going home to Seminole, where his parents still live. He will replace Chris Burtch, who resigned as the Indians' coach after ten years.

In three years at Coronado, Jackson went 5-25.

Monday night on Twitter, Lubbock High Coach Jason Strunk tweeted, "Seminole just got one of the best in the business. Great Friend and a Great Man. Seminole is in good hands!"
