Red Raider baseball falls to TCU

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Playing an out of conference game against Big 12 foe TCU, the Red Raiders fell 4-0 Tuesday night in Abilene.

Corey Taylor got the start for Texas Tech and suffered his first loss of the season (5-1), pitching four innings and allowing one earned run.

The Red Raiders out-hit the Horned Frogs 6-3, but stranded four base runners. Adam Kirsch was the lone Red Raider with multiple hits, going 2-for-3 at the plate.

The game was played at Abilene Christian University and will not count toward either team's Big 12 record.

The loss makes back-to-back defeats for Texas Tech who fall to 32-13 on the season.

The Red Raiders will try to put the losses behind them as they get back into Big 12 play Friday night against Oklahoma at Dan Law Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:37 p.m.
