LEDA announces new jobs coming to Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance announced the creation of 236 new jobs on Wednesday.

These jobs come as a result of three Lubbock businesses expanding.

Bahama Bucks, Time Forge and Hurley Companies will provide more than $5.4 million in new, annual salaries.

"There is a lot of growth taking place. we are not just seeing it in one part of town, we're seeing it in multiple sides of the community, direction wise, we are also seeing it in different industries as well, and that having a positive impact on our community."

The job openings will be posted over the next several years. The goal is to give local graduates an opportunity to stay in Lubbock.
