911 AUDIO: Victim calls for help after shooting on East Auburn

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person remains hospitalized after what police are calling, an apparent drive-by shooting in East Lubbock Wednesday night.

Police say the suspect opened fire around 11:50 p.m. outside of a home in the 1900 block of East Auburn Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest.

He is listed in serious condition at University Medical Center.

Police are still searching for the suspect.

Lubbock Police Sergeant Jason Lewis said anyone with information relating to this case should contact Crime Line at 741-1000.

"We would really like for them to call and give us a little bit of information," he said, "you know, before this turns into another shooting or something else - retaliation."
