16th annual Blue Ribbon Rally to benefit Lubbock families

Folks are gearing up to start their engines and head over to Lubbock's 16th annual Blue Ribbon Rally.

The Depot District will be packed with people eyeing dozens of cars dating back to the 1920's.

But despite all the flashy cars, the rally is all about preventing child abuse. April is National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month.

Proceeds from the rally will benefit the Family Guidance and Outreach Center of Lubbock.

All proceeds go directly back into the community to provide free parenting classes and seminars to Lubbock families.

Cars aren't the only thing on the schedule. Participants can also enjoy good food, great music and a special kid zone for children to play in.
