The Lubbock City Council could name a new city attorney as early as next week.
Former City Attorney Sam Medina resigned from his position early March, following criminal allegations made against him.
Council members will hold a closed meeting on Tuesday, when they are expected to interview candidates for the position.
The council will meet again on Wednesday to discuss the issue further.
KCBD will keep you up to date on any developments in the story as the week continues.
