One injured in Tuesday night rollover

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person remains hospitalized following an accident in northeast Lubbock Tuesday night.

Police were called to a report of a rollover on northeast Loop 289 and Idalou Road just after 8 p.m.

Investigators say 71-year-old Juan Mancada was headed south when he passed several vehicles and then swerved, causing his truck to roll over. Police believe he may have been attempting to avoid a collision with another vehicle.

The truck rolled across the median and came to a stop in the northbound access lane.

EMS rushed Moncada to UMC where he is listed in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
