1 dead, 1 injured after motorcycle crash in White Co.

BALD KNOB, AR (KAIT) - A Missouri man is dead following a crash involving a motorcycle.

According to Arkansas State Police, Billy Leatherwood, 63, of West Plains, MO died Monday evening in White County.

Police state Leatherwood was driving a motorcycle north on U.S. Highway 167 when a truck traveling east tried to make a left turn onto Arkansas 367. The crash report states the truck failed to yield and was hit by the motorcycle on the passenger side.

Leatherwood's passenger, Cathy Leatherwood also of West Plains, MO was injured in the crash. She was taken to a Searcy hospital. 

The crash report did not show that the driver of the truck had been injured.
