Tom & Bingo's BBQ sauce available at United, Market Street

Tom & Bingo's Hickory Pit BBQ is now selling their signature barbeque sauce at four United Supermarkets and Market Street locations.

Dwayne Clanton, owner of Tom & Bingo's, has worked on this recipe for over 50 years. His father, Tom Clanton, and Tom's third cousin, known as Bingo, started the restaurant in 1952.

He decided to pursue bottling and selling the sauce at the requests of his customers.

There is no secret to the barbeque sauce, Clanton said, but it is a unique blend that will complement any meat.

Tom & Bingo's has received multiple Top Performer scores from KCBD's Food for Thought. It has also landed on the Top 50 BBQ places in Texas from Texas Monthly magazine.
