The East Cleveland man charged after his fiancee's little boy shot himself with a gun was in court on Monday.
Larry Sanders, 47, pleaded not guilty to three felony chares, including child endangering. He has a criminal past and previous felony conviction, and was not authorized to have a gun.
His bond was set at $100K.
East Cleveland Police tell 19 Action News the six-year-old boy found the .38 caliber gun in a closet of his Orinoco Avenue home on Sunday, and shot himself in the head.
The child had emergency surgery at Rainbow Babies and is currently listed in critical condition in the ICU.
