BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

One former LSU Tiger has tested positive for drugs at the NFL combine and another had his drug test sample flagged, according to reports by Pro Football Talk and Fox Sports Monday.

The news comes at a bad time for defensive tackle Anthony "Freak" Johnson, whose positive test has come to light just 72 hours before the NFL draft.

Meanwhile, the agent for quarterback Zach Mettenberger, one of 10 players flagged for either testing positive or having what is called a diluted sample, said Mettenberger's was diluted.

According to the reports, Mettenberger's doctor explained the diluted sample was caused by Mettenberger's recovery from knee surgery, although it would still be considered a failed drug test under the current NFL substance abuse policy.

The reports said Mettenberger was advised to drink as much as a gallon to a gallon-and-a-half of water a day, because he was suffering from cramps.

Dylan Thompson threw for three touchdowns and No. 24 South Carolina's maligned defense stood strong on a fourth-quarter goal line stand to topple No. 6 Georgia 38-35 on Saturday night.
No. 24 South Carolina's defense showed it's not nearly as bad as it looked two weeks ago - and maybe that No. 6 Georgia isn't the runaway favorite in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division.

Georgia can establish itself as a top-tier beast if it gets by South Carolina this weekend - and USC would drop to 0-2 in the league with a loss. Tennessee travels to Oklahoma, where Coach Bob Stoops doesn't believe the SEC is all-powerful.
