LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One of the two men police say escaped from the Lubbock County Court Residential Treatment Center last month was indicted on Tuesday.

18-year-old Chazric Simms faces a number of charges, including evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police say he and 19-year-old Jordan Duran stole a truck after they escaped.

They say an officer spotted the two driving that truck the next day, and that's when Simms was arrested.

We're told Duran was able to get away for a short time, but he was found a few days later and arrested.

Both men remain behind bars as of Tuesday.
