TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Former President George W. Bush is headed to Tyler to speak at Grace Community School's 40th anniversary celebration.

Grace Community School Headmaster Jay Ferguson says the event is an opportunity for the school to thank the community for their support. Ferguson says he never thought Bush would accept their invitation and is excited to hear his message, "He's going to talk about what it was like to be president. He's going to talk about what he's done since and some of the highlights of his presidency, with a focus on education and faith, and how those two things intersect."

The event starts Thursday night at 7 at the UT Tyler Patriot Center. For information on tickets, click here.
