1 killed, 1 injured in Cochran County crash

COCHRAN COUNTY, TX (KCBD) -

One person is dead and another injured after a 2 vehicle head-on crash that occurred at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday night in Cochran County.

Officials say a 1998 GMC Pickup was travelling west on State Highway 114, 3 miles west of Whiteface, when it crossed into the eastbound lane striking the left front of a 1999 Ford Pickup travelling east.

The driver of the GMC, 67-year-old Lonnie Dale Wagner of Morton, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford, 21-year-old Jimmy Tanner McGlothlin of Roscoe, was transported to UMC with non life-threatening injuries.

The Cochran County Sheriff's Office and the Morton Fire Department assisted Texas Highway Troopers from Brownfield and Levelland at the scene.
