The Chief Medical Examiner of Lubbock County has confirmed the identities of three people killed in the two-vehicle accident that occurred at FM 41 and Highway 87 on Monday.
The victims have been identified as Karolina Mora, 26, of California; Calvin Voneravong, 21, of Texas; and Tyler Wagers, 21, of Ohio.
Officials say the group's van collided with a semi truck loaded with ethanol, killing all three occupants of the van and injuring the truck driver.
Mora, Voneravong and Wagers were part of the intern program, Heartland Nomads, which is headed by the non-profit group, Liberty in North Korea.
The organization's goal is to help empower the North Korean people.
Mora, Voneravong and Wagers were scheduled to speak at Sundown High School on the day of the accident.
