(RNN) - For about as long as her 42-album career, rumors have swirled that Dolly Parton is covered head to toe in tattoos, hence the reason for her long sleeves.
However, just in time for her new album to hit shelves, Parton took a little to time to re-clear the air on Today.
"I do have a few little tattoos, but they were mostly done to cover scars because I'm so fair," Parton said. "So it started with that, and I'm not really one to have tattoos, but I do have a few and they're not where you can see them."
The star later admitted the body art is "mostly for my husband."
Tattoos or not, we love that the country legend is still creating amazing music for our listening ears. Blue Smoke, her 42nd album, dropped Tuesday.
Bob Dylan releases Sinatra cover for upcoming album
Bob Dylan posted a cover of Frank Sinatra's Full Moon and Empty Arms to his official website without any sort of announcement or fanfare this week.
The cover, which replaces the original song's strings for guitar, otherwise doesn't stray too far from Sinatra's version while still giving the tune some Dylan edge.
The cover was released as part of a forthcoming album by the 72-year-old singer, due out later this year, a spokesperson told Rolling Stone.
In the meantime, Dylan will tour Europe as a part of his Never Ending Tour starting in June.
Her lips don't lie - Shakira says adios to 'The Voice'
After two seasons in the spinning red coach's chair, Shakira says she has no plans to return to The Voice.
Shakira is quite the busy lady these days, just dropping a self-titled album.
"Right now I have to go on with my life as artist," she said in a recent interview. "I have to prep a tour and also do other stuff like being a mother."
The show was designed to give coaches the freedom to take time off to tour and work on music by rotating in and out of seasons.
Gwen Stefani recently signed on to take the seat temporarily vacated by Christina Aguilera for season seven as Aguilera is pregnant with her second child.
With Xtina back in the chair for season eight, will they even replace Shakira?
Who knows? But that doesn't stop us from spitballing some options. Who would you like to see as a new coach on The Voice?
