Red Raider baseball grabs second straight walk-off win

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 9th, Tim Proudfoot came through with a 2-out base hit up the middle to give the Red Raiders a second consecutive walk-off victory, 3-2 Friday night.

Texas Tech won Thursday night's game 4-3, with a Hunter Redman walk-off in the 11th.

Bryant Burleson and Adam Kirsch accounted for the other two runs Friday night, each hitting solo home runs.

The win improves the Red Raiders to 39-16, 13-10 in Big 12 play.

The victory also gave head coach Tim Tadlock his 500th career win.

With the win Texas Tech clinches the series against West Virginia and will go for the sweep tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Dan Law Field.
