Police identify woman killed in Erlanger hit-and-run

ERLANGER, KY (FOX19) -

The body of a 29-year-old woman was found on the side of the road Saturday morning in Erlanger, Kentucky.

Police believe that Lauren Pettit, of Erlanger, was the victim of an overnight or early morning hit-and-run.

Crews from Duke Energy reported finding the body around 8:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Crescent Springs Pike.

Emergency crews on the scene say that Pettit may have been struck by a car while walking along the road. The time frame of the accident is currently unknown

Officers say that the stretch of roadway commonly has individuals walking along the shoulder going to and from the Erlanger and Crescent Springs area.

Authorities urge anyone with information on the incident to call officials 859-727-2424.
