Fans had their Guns Up at the Texas Rangers game in Arlington Tuesday night.
It was Texas Tech Night, part of the ball club's University Days as the Rangers faced the Seattle Mariners.
Red Raider Coach Kliff Kingsbury was at the game, his first at the Rangers new park. He grew up an Astros fan, but was thrilled to be at a Texas game with tons of Red Raider fans.
Kingsbury was interviewed by Texas Rangers representative Emily Jones.
"Anytime we can get out and spread the word at Texas Tech, we're going to do that," Kingsbury said. "Very thankful for the Rangers to host this, it's been a great night."
As Kliff was being interviewed on the TV broadcast, Adrian Beltre hit a home run. Kliff was impressed and said he could see Beltre playing football.
"He looks like an inside linebacker," Kingsbury said. "Seems like a tough guy. Kinds squatty. Lots of power."
Kliff was glad to have Texas Tech spotlighted in their alumni base of Dallas/Fort Worth.
The Rangers will host University Days for other area colleges throughout the season.
