Texas Tech baseball lands No. 2 seed in Miami regional

MIAMI, FL (KCBD) -

For the first time in a decade (2004), the Red Raiders are headed to the NCAA baseball tournament.

Texas Tech was given the No. 2 seed in the Coral Gables regional, home of the Miami Hurricanes.

The Red Raiders are matched up with No. 3 seed Columbia in the opening round game Friday at 1pm.

The winner takes on the winner of No. 1 seed Miami and No. 4 seed Bethune-Cookman.

It's a double-elimination tournament. The winner of this Coral Gables regional will advance to Gainesville in the Super Regionals.
