The Buddy Holly Center is eager to present Element as part of Summer Showcase, the weekly Thursday night concert series held in the Meadows Courtyard.

On May 29th, 2014, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Element will treat the audience to funk music. The concert is FREE and open to the public. A cash bar will be available for the crowd's enjoyment. Please, no outside beverages allowed.

Element began in 2004 and has become a staple of Lubbock's music scene. Composed of Chicago John on lead vocals, Mike Austin on guitar, Rikki Horton on keyboard and saxophone, Freddie Currie on bass and Charles Francis on drums, this band has taken Lubbock by storm with a smooth style that is perfect for dancing. They describe their style as similar to that of Kool & the Gang.

Element plays a full schedule locally, and the Center is thrilled to have them perform!
