Game times announced for first four weeks of 2014 football season

Game times for Texas Tech's first four football games of the 2014 season have been announced, including the season opener against Central Arkansas on Aug. 30.

Kickoff times are dictated by network television and only the first four weeks have been announced. The remaining game times will follow Big 12 television protocol which means times generally will be announced two weeks prior to the game.

Game Times

Aug. 30 - Central Arkansas at Texas Tech; 6 p.m. CT (Texas Tech TV on Fox Sports)

Sept. 6 - Texas Tech at UTEP; 10 p.m. CT (Fox Sports 1)

Sept. 13 - Arkansas at Texas Tech; 2:30 p.m. CT (ABC, ESPN or ESPN2)

Sept. 25 - Texas Tech at Oklahoma State; 6:30 p.m. CT (ESPN)

    Lubbock Christian announces its next head girls' basketball coach, Matt Moore, from Dallas, Texas. Coach Moore was born in Midland, and is excited to return to West Texas and be a part of the great tradition of Lady Eagles basketball.  “Lubbock Christian has an outstanding reputation within the state, not just for excellence on the court, but for the quality and character of its students,” Moore said.
