Four prominent Lubbock businessmen pleaded not guilty Monday to charges related to a case of alleged bank fraud.
Stockbroker and former LISD board member Monte Hasie, former First State Bank President Tom Darden and businessmen Frank and Rick Thompson were indicted on 38 counts in October. The group is accused of conspiring to defraud First State Bank and State National Bank of approximately $2.5 million from October 1999 through April 2001.
Monday all four men were arraigned in federal court, and pleaded not guilty. A trial date has been set for January 3rd.
