LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

We continue to follow the investigation into the death of Rachel Guzman. Her husband, Epifanio Guzman, is now back in Lubbock and charged with her murder.

Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies escorted Epifanio in the jail around 3 p.m. Friday. When asked if he had anything to say, Epifanio remained silent.

Authorities brought him back to Lubbock from the Howard County Jail in Big Spring. That's where Rachel's body was found on Wednesday, and where authorities first arrested Epifanio on a charge of indecency with a child.

Friday, Lubbock Police announced he's been charged with murder. KCBD has now obtained a copy of that warrant.

According to the warrant, Rachel's brother, Daniel, lived with her and Guzman.

He told police he saw Rachel and Guzman fightinglast Friday, and said they had been having difficulties because Guzman was asuspect in the indecency case.

Daniel said he went to bed that night, and itwas not until Sunday that he noticed pictures were missing from the livingroom and all of Guzman's belongings were gone.

However, Rachel's were still there.

Both Rachel and Guzman's cars were gone aswell, and Daniel thought they left.

Then, he got a call from Rachel's employersaying she never showed up to work. He went into her room with Rachel's son,and they say they found blood on her pillow and mattress.

They alerted police, and the search for Racheland Guzman began.

Police located Guzman in Big Spring and returned him to Lubbock this afternoon.

The document says Guzman confessed to strangling Rachel from behind last Friday night.

He told police they were arguing and having a physical altercation. Guzman says Rachel went limp while he was strangling her.

He says he laid her on the bed and slept by her until the morning, when he saw Rachel was dead.

He says he wrapped her up in a sleeping bag and took her body to Big Spring and placed her in a secluded area.

According to the warrant, Guzman also told police that he planned to kill his mother's husband as well while in Big Spring, but could not find him alone.

Shortly after his statement, police say Guzman directed them to Rachel's body.

Police say they found her wrapped in the sleeping bag Guzman described.

Authorities say they were able to positively identify Rachel's body by a tattoo.

We're still going over the warrant, and we'll have more for you tonight at ten.

Rachel's family has set up a memorial fund to help pay for funeral expenses.

You can donate at any Wells Fargo bank under Guzman's maiden name, Rachel Ann Rodriguez.
