All Lubbock Jack In The Box restaurants are closing. According to a corporate spokesman, the franchisee was notified Monday that they were "non-compliant" with the terms of their agreement and needed to close immediately. Brian Luscomb could not provide any additional details about the issue.
"Closing a restaurant is the last thing that we want to see happen, but we ran out of options to keep those locations open," Luscomb said. It's regrettable, and we apologize to the guests and employees of those restaurants for having to take this action," Luscomb continued.
Right now, there are no plans to reopen the restaurants.
This affects all four Lubbock locations:
We visited the location at 50th and Quaker around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and it was open at that time. So, we are unsure when the restaurants will actually close. Luscomb told us they did not provide a window of time to close. Their notice stated immediately. We'll keep you updated.
