Heavy rainfall is creating problems for South Plains drivers.
Several Lubbock streets are closed due to flooding. Tuesday morning, rescue crews were called to Mackenzie Park, where a motorist had driven around some barricades and tried to cross a flooded road.
The current caught his Geo tracker and dropped it 150 feet downstream. The driver is safe, but the vehicle will remain in the creek until the water subsides. Crews were also called to the park on Saturday, when another vehicle was swept away.
