The substantial amount of rainfall on the South Plains during the third week of November is having an affect on lakes in West Texas.

Lake Alan Henry is overflowing, currently at 108% capacity. It's a different story at Lake Meredith, Northeast of Amarillo. That lake sits at 19% capacity. Lake Meredith supplies Lubbock with about 80% of the city's water.
