The two candidates in the District 3 city council run-off election held a public debate on Monday night.
Deanne Clark and Jeff Griffith are both vying for the seat currently held by Todd Klein, who is not seeking re-election.
Clark and Griffith both gave voters better insight into what they have planned if elected.
Griffith said his first priority will be, "LP&L. The future of LP&L. Let's make sure we take care of future power generation.it's a key issue for us all in our city."
Clark focused on, "$1.2 billion debt. I just think if we don't start whittling away on that it's going to eat into everything else, and we're going to leave a terrible legacy for our children and grandchildren."
Early voting for this run off election ends Tuesday. Click here for times and locations.
If you'd rather wait and vote on Election Day, that is Saturday June 21.
