Heavy rain back in the forecast for South Plains

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Showers and storms are back in the forecast for the remainder of this week.

Some heavy rain possible Tuesday and Wednesday as the remnants of former Hurricane Cristina move into the South Plains. Storms will fire up in late afternoon and could continue through late evening and return again on Wednesday.

Some storms could produce heavy rain with some local flooding.

High temps near 90 degrees, depending on cloud cover and where the rain falls.

Wednesday's highs will range from 85 to 88 degrees with a chance of thunderstorms.
