WASHINGTON, June 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bipartisan Policy Center's (BPC) Health Project will host a forum on health care delivery and payment reform on Thursday, June 19, at 10am, focusing on the transition from a volume-based to value-based health care delivery system. In April 2013, BPC released A Bipartisan Rx for Patient-Centered Care and System-Wide Cost Containment. That report laid out policy recommendations to put health care in America on a pathway to improved quality and value.
Over the next year, BPC Health Project Co-chairs former Senate Majority Leaders Tom Daschle and Bill Frist will be joined by former Congressional Budget Office Director Alice Rivlin and former Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chair Congressman Jim McCrery to propose policy solutions to facilitate and accelerate the transition to a value-based health system in the United States.
