Brief power outages reported in South Lubbock Wednesday night

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Dozens of South Lubbock residents were without power for a short time Wednesday night, as storms rolled through the city.

According to LP&L's online outage map, most of the calls came from the area south of Loop 289, and east of University Avenue.

But there are no reported outages inside the city as of 10 p.m.

Customers who need to report an outage can try to use the IVR system at (806) 775-2555 or send their report by email to lightsout@lpandl.com.

Customers using the "Lights Out" email address should include the following information in order for service crews to respond to their request: name, address where service is interrupted and phone number where the customer can be reached.

All customers experiencing issues with interruption of service may contact LP&L at (806) 775- 2509 during normal business hours.
