LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Sam, Erik and Velma Medina all turned themselves in to the Lubbock County Detention Center on Friday. All three are now out on bond.

Angelina turned herself in on Thursday evening and is out on a $1,000 misdemeanor bond.

A Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted former Lubbock City Attorney Sam Medina on ten counts of sexual assault on Thursday.

According to court records, Medina is accused of assaulting his soon to be ex-daughter-in-law.

Medina resigned from the city in March after he held a news conference in January where he announced that Angelina Medina had made allegations of sexual assault against him.

The same grand jury also indicted Medina's son, Erik Medina, on seven counts of practicing medicine without a license. Police say they searched Sam and Erik Medina's homes in February while investigating the claims of sexual assault made against Sam. That's when they uncovered evidence of another possible crime involving Erik.

A misdemeanor charge of domestic assault has also been filed against Erik for an incident dating back to March of 2013.

Sam Medina's wife, Velma Medina, has also now been charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of a dangerous drug. According to court documents, she was found to have two prescription medications without proper prescriptions.

Sam Medina's soon to be ex-daughter-in-law, Angelina Medina, is also charged with one misdemeanor count of possession of a dangerous drug. According to court documents, she was found to have a prescription medication without the proper prescription.

We contacted Special Prosecutor Randall Sims with the 47th District Attorney's Office.

He said, "State law prohibits me from commenting on any of the felonies at this time."

Angelina's attorney, Audie M. Reese, released this statement on Thursday night:

Today is a great day for the trampled, the downtrodden, and the powerless, but this is just the first step. Angelina Medina worries for her children and again asks for privacy for her and her family during this tough time. This is not in any way a time for joy for Mrs. Medina. During the last six months, she has had her private life publicized and Sam Medina's attorney has attempted to discredit her at every turn.

The founders of our country dreamed about a system that administers justice blindly without regard to money, power, and position. Today I have great hope that justice is indeed blind and that truth will triumph over all.

With that in mind, the indictment is still a very early stage in the criminal court process. Sam Medina is still innocent until proven guilty and public opinion does not change that fact. But also remember, ridicule and bullying do not change the facts of what happened. Mrs. Medina remains confident in her resolve to stand up for herself and for other victims in similar situations. She will see this through until the end when Sam Medina will be found guilty.
