Rebecca Diaz was named Valedictorian of the Olton High School Class of 2015 with a 4.96 GPA. Valedictorian Rebecca Diaz, daughter of Santos and Evelyn Diaz has attended Olton schools since kindergarten. Rebecca plans to attend South Plains College and major in Radiology Technology. Despite Rebecca's career plan, her ultimate hope is to someday become an accredited author. She dreams of writing a book about her experiences in Olton, including the time she spent as the youngest child of eight. While in school, Rebecca was a member of the Mighty Mustang Band for four years. She served as section leader and took part in flute lessons. She participated in the Gifted and Talented Program, served as secretary and president of the National Honor Society, and was elected a class officer all four years. Rebecca is interested in writing and playing the flute. She attributes all of her success to the support of her family members and friends, as well as to the grace of God.
