Judge dismisses felony charges against Stanley Marsh

Posted: Updated:

A state district judge has dismissed felony charges against an eccentric businessman and artist accused of molesting underage boys.

You might recall, Stanley Marsh died last Tuesday, after a series of strokes.

The 76-year-old was well known for burying 10 Cadillacs nose-down along Interstate 40 near Amarillo.

In April of last year, Lubbock County District Attorney Matt Powell filed 14 felony counts against Marsh. Marsh was accused of paying teenage boys to perform sex acts at his Amarillo office.

But KCBD was told that all of those charges were dropped on Tuesday, and the case is now closed.

Two civil lawsuits against Marsh could still go to trial.
