50,000 people gathered at Texas A&M Thursday on the 5th anniversary of the deadly bonfire accident.
A granite and bronze memorial was dedicated to the 12 students who were killed when 5,000 logs collapsed early in the morning on November 18th, 1999.
27 students, including one from Lubbock, were injured. A commission blamed the collapse on flawed construction techniques and lack of supervision.
