A serial bank robber will spend 25 years in prison.
Thursday, a Lubbock judge sentenced Oscar Ibarra to 25 years in federal prison without the possibility of parole. The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to robbing 6 banks in West Texas, including two in Lubbock.
He confessed to robbing the banks along with his brother Irad Ibarra, but says he was the one who wrote the notes and threatened the tellers. Irad pleaded guilty to concealing a crime last month.
